HER

Before HER :

When the initial thought of conceiving a baby started there is a good amount of chance that it was meant to be a boy than a girl ,especially for a first child. It is the mindset of most of the parents during 70s-80s and may be even later.Until the last moment they might be expecting him , with a "note" either of boy or girl is fine. This is an inconvenient truth which is conveniently forgotten once "SHE" made her entry to the world.

----------------------------------------------------------------
The validity of the above said sentences is debatable. Do you want to validate after all these years? Will your perception towards your loving parents change if they never thought of you all the way before you were born?

After HER :

Life might be more or less the same for him for first few years be it a boy or girl. His life changes as she starts growing up. She becomes the light of his life. Her happiness is his happiness , her unhappy moments are his dark days. He lives with the same feelings along with her all the way through her happiness, sadness, anger, confusion, fear and many more. He is happy when she welcomes him with a smile after a long day. He is worried for her fears and at times smiles at them.He wears his protective gear for her safety as she grows up. He will be her best friend and later she listens to him , does things asked by him just to see him happy.  He pushes his limits to see her happy and lead a comfortable life. She is his purpose of life and at some point when she has to leave him , a part of his life has left him.

It might be same even for a boy with respect to feelings but not the same with the expressions as the boy becomes less expressive as he grows. She is more expressive.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All through life he never lets anything leave him which is dear to him and anyone whom he loves or who loves him. He does not apply the same for her. He lets his life taken away due to some societal pressure in the name of marriage and yet never questions it. In the name of continuity of evolution he sacrifices his life by letting her go. Will his mindset change with changing times? As he lives in a patriarchal society will he ever change the age old, time tested model because keeping his loved ones with him still makes him be part of patriarchal society.

P.S Him,his,he = father  Her = daughter

  1. I don't think that feeling is mutual. In most cases, the girl may pro-actively gets ready to leave her parents house, not for the sake of satisfying this society but for the fact that the pain she has to go through while having to leave her father gets nullified by the anticipating feeling she has about the new life that she is going to lead alongside her new partner.
